FAQs
When do I get to see the results of my photoshoot? And receive the purchased prints?
A consultation will be set for 5-7 business days following the initial shoot. At this appointment, you will have an opportunity to review the finalized shots and select the printing package you would like to purchase. Following the consultation, we will have the prints ready for pick up or be shipped in 5-7 business days. Please note that this timeline will be different for wedding parties or specialized shoots. A good rule of thumb is: if the initial shoot is more than an hour, the editing and finalizing timeline will be longer than usual.
What time should I arrive for my shoot?
Our goal is to maximize the amount of time for us to gather raw material in the form of photographs of you and your counterparts. In order to utilize the entire hour for shooting, we ask that you arrive at the studio at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled time slot. If you are shooting with a group larger than 4, please arrive at the shooting location at least an hour prior to the designated time. In order to honor our customers’ time and our efforts, we will not go over the allotted time for any of our shoots.
What happens if I cannot return to pick up my prints?
We can ship the prints to any of the continental United States at our regular shipping rate. If the prints are to be shipped to outside of this area, or if there are several framed prints to be shipped, this price will increase accordingly.
Can you email me my photos?
Unfortunately we cannot email the digital files of the photos that we take. The files, due to the amount of detail and quality contained in them, are very large files. Email servers frequently compress large files, thus leaving out some of the necessary detail and quality. If you are interested in obtaining the digital files for your finalized photos, we can prepare these for you via CD or USB distribution. Please note the charge associated with digital files.
Can we schedule on-site shoots? If so, how do I coordinate this?
Yes! We love to do on-site and outdoor and different locale shoots. If you plan to have a shoot done in any place other than The Stanford Zone Studio, please book your appointment at least two weeks in advance and be sure to either email us or utilize our contact form to let us know where you would like to shoot. We will do our best to accommodate requests like this, but be sure to check our pricing page to see the travel charge if it will be more than 50 miles in travel for our staff.
How do I let you know which locations in “The Zone” that I would like to shoot in?
We enjoy creating multiple spaces in our photoshoots, and have the capability of doing so utilizing both backdrops and the different sitting areas in our facility. Please send us an email or submit a contact form after booking, letting us know which spaces you have selected. This will allow us to prepare as well as you to conceptualize the type of attire and feel your shoot could take on.
How should I prepare for my shoot?
How each person prepares is ultimately up to their discretion, but we have seen some commonalities in successful shoots. Some helpful hints in preparation are below.
Bring 2-3 outfits, with different colors displayed in them. Please ensure that they are comfortable, correctly fitting, and not see-through. Try on your outfits the night before.
Ladies, wear a light amount of makeup. Once the lighting hits your face, the camera will detect any differences in shade and tone.
If you will be shooting with small children, bring light snacks and baby wipes.
Get a good night’s sleep the night before to ensure that you don’t look haggard or disheveled the day of the shoot.
